This little video was a reflection, perhaps prophetic, on 1 Kings 18 and the ministry of Isaiah. These words, verses 18-46, are a powerful invitation to seek God again for the sake of his people and his glory on the earth:<\/p>\n
“At the time\u00a0of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: \u201cLord<\/span>, the God of Abraham,\u00a0Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.<\/span>\u00a0Answer me,\u00a0Lord<\/span>, answer me, so these people will know\u00a0that you,\u00a0Lord<\/span>, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Then the fire\u00a0of the\u00a0Lord<\/span>\u00a0fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench. \u201cGo and look toward the sea,\u201d he told his servant. And he went up and looked. So Elijah said, \u201cGo and tell Ahab, \u2018Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/span>Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain\u00a0started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.<\/span>\u00a046\u00a0<\/sup>The power\u00a0of the\u00a0Lord<\/span>came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt,\u00a0he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.<\/span><\/em>”<\/p>\n The story changes, Elijah is moved to move, when a cloud is seen off in the distance.<\/p>\n That’s what this video is about:<\/p>\n \u00a0
\n<\/span>When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate\u00a0and cried, \u201cThe\u00a0Lord<\/span>\u2014he is God! The\u00a0Lord<\/span>\u2014he is God!\u201d
\n<\/span>Then Elijah commanded them, \u201cSeize the prophets of Baal. Don\u2019t let anyone get away!\u201d They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley\u00a0and slaughtered\u00a0there.
\n<\/span>And Elijah said to Ahab, \u201cGo, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>\u201cThere is nothing there,\u201d he said.
\n<\/span>Seven times Elijah said, \u201cGo back.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>The seventh time\u00a0the servant reported, \u201cA cloud\u00a0as small as a man\u2019s hand is rising from the sea.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
