{"id":1251,"date":"2018-03-09T17:36:30","date_gmt":"2018-03-09T17:36:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thomascreedy.com\/?p=1251"},"modified":"2018-03-13T10:55:31","modified_gmt":"2018-03-13T10:55:31","slug":"what-i-learn-from-introducing-a-new-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thomascreedy.co.uk\/what-i-learn-from-introducing-a-new-series\/","title":{"rendered":"What I Learn From: Introducing a new series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1254\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thomascreedy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/New-Blog-Book-Review-Graphic-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thomascreedy.co.uk\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/New-Blog-Book-Review-Graphic-5.png 1280w, https:\/\/www.thomascreedy.co.uk\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/New-Blog-Book-Review-Graphic-5-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.thomascreedy.co.uk\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/New-Blog-Book-Review-Graphic-5-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/www.thomascreedy.co.uk\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/New-Blog-Book-Review-Graphic-5-1024x576.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Over the various years I&#8217;ve been following Jesus, I have been immensely blessed\/challenged\/changed\/empowered\/frustrtated\/equipped\/developed\/released by a wide range of places and people.<\/p>\n<p>Some of these are churches &#8211; places and people I&#8217;ve invested in, latterly with my wife &#8211; whilst others are institutions or gatherings.<\/p>\n<p>As part of my ongoing concern for unity and hope, I&#8217;ve spent some time recently reflecting on, praying about, and giving thanks to God for, some of the things I&#8217;ve learnt from different places and people.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next couple of months, I&#8217;ll be sharing some of the key lessons I&#8217;ve learnt from the following (at least!)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chertsey Street Baptist Church (the Church I grew up in, was baptised in, and learnt about leadership)<\/li>\n<li>Cornerstone Church, Nottingham (the Church I was part of for most of my first year of University)<\/li>\n<li>Trent Vineyard Church, Nottingham (the Church I spent 2 years at at university, did a Discipleship Year, and a Masters whilst being part of)<\/li>\n<li>St John&#8217;s College, Nottingham (the Anglican College I did my MA at, and spent a year in an Anglican Liturgical cycle)<\/li>\n<li>Holy Trinity, Brompton (The Anglican Church and home of Alpha where Amy and I lead an Alpha Table and a Connect Group)<\/li>\n<li>London School of Theology (the theological college I thoroughly enjoyed working at)<\/li>\n<li>South West London Vineyard (the church we currently live and lead and rest at)<\/li>\n<li>FIEC (A movement of churches I&#8217;ve loved to have related to)<\/li>\n<li>UCCF (a movement of Christians that inspire me)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ll probably add different groups to this, as I reflect on them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the various years I&#8217;ve been following Jesus, I have been immensely blessed\/challenged\/changed\/empowered\/frustrtated\/equipped\/developed\/released by a wide range of places and people.
